CT Engagement Photographer – Engagement Session at Gillette’s Castle

Carlene (Lena) and Dan are just the cutest couple EVER!! Their engagement session at Gillette’s Castle State Park is proof.

These two have been friends forever… literally! They were best friends in high school, hung out every day and worked at the same restaurant. At some point they realized they were being dumb and that they were more than just friends.

When Dan proposed, they went on a picnic at a winery and had dinner at their favorite pizza restaurant. On the way home, it started downpouring and Dan suggested they go take a look at the house they put an offer on to make sure the gutters were draining correctly. Lena was stubborn and didn’t want to get out of the car in the rain (who could blame her). BUT, when she finally did, Dan asked her to marry him on the porch in the pouring rain. Fortunately for them, they live in that house now!

They wanted a relaxed, but formal look for their photos. Lena’s favorite color is green so she wore a long green dress and Dan wore a blue dress shirt and green suspenders. To quote Lena, “They were just big kids in fancy clothes”.
