A wedding in the park /Connecticut wedding photographer/ Wickham Park, Manchester, CT/

It was a perfect June day for Morgan & Tyler to say “I Do” in front of friends and family while overlooking the Hartford, CT skyline. They even had their fur-baby Murphy as the ring bearer. Who doesn’t love seeing cute pooches all dressed up for a wedding?

Morgan started the day by getting ready with her close friends, her sister and her mom at her parents house. Once we arrived at Wickham Park she and her soon to be husband, Tyler had a few minutes alone for their first look. It was so sweet to see them just being together before the wedding whirlwind arrived. Morgan & Tyler’s family joined them for some photos in one of the gardens at the park and then we headed off the the cabin for their celebration.

From their ceremony, you could see the city of Hartford and we made sure to come back to that spot later on that night for some sunset photos. Tyler is a huge NASCAR fan so Morgan placed little checkered flags on all the plates. All of the guests surprised Tyler by waving them when they were announced into their reception for the first time as husband and wife.

Instead of having a first dance, Morgan & Tyler had something else planned. Tyler played the guitar while Morgan sang a beautiful rendition of “Make You Feel My Love“. It was so amazingly beautiful. Once the speeches were given and dinner was eaten, they danced the night away with their friends and family inside the cabin.

Kate & Jake |Wedding at The Riverview | Simsbury, CT Wedding Photographer

Kate & Jake’s wedding at The Riverview in Simsbury, CT was absolutely beautiful! These two are a really fun, and genuine couple. There are very few people I would stand so close to a snake for (check out their engagement photos for that story) and these two definitely made that list!

Their ceremony was outside on the patio with the Farmington River as the backdrop. It couldn’t have been any more perfect. When the reception began, Jake surprised Kate with a song that he not only wrote for her, but sang to her in front of their family and friends. Then, they spent the rest of the night shaking it on the dance floor. It was definitely one of the most memorable weddings I’ve photographed. Kate & Jake, THANK YOU so much for allowing me to be a part of such an amazing time in your lives!

Family Photos at Harkness State Park | Waterford, CT Family Photographer

I am so lucky to be able to have worked with Bryan & Tia for the last 4 years! This past fall we met up where it all began, Harkness State Park in Waterford, CT. This time we shared some laughs and I got to take photos of their family again. Luca is just the happiest little guy and Owen always gives me the weirdest smiles. It was even more special this time because I got to take some photos that included Tia’s mom. I just love this family and I am so glad to call them friends!!

Meghan |Senior Photos at the Beach | East Lyme, CT Portrait Photographer

Today’s post features Meghan. Meghan was one of the first high school seniors I had ever photographed and I was over the moon when the opportunity to take her photos arrived!! We planned a beach session at Hole In The Wall Beach in Niantic, CT. After meeting her, Meghan said she didn’t really like having her picture taken. It’s safe to say she is a natural in front of the camera.

Baby Carter’s Newborn Session |East Lyme, CT Newborn Photographer

Happy Friday!!

Today, I am switching it up a little from the wedding photos and sharing some of my favorite photos from Carter’s studio newborn session. Carter’s daddy works for the New London Fire Department and he brought some stuff into the studio. We used his daddy’s helmet and he was just as happy as can be inside it. What a happy little family!!
