Lydia & Matt | RI Engagement Photography | Watch Hill Beach, Westerly, RI
Hey guys! Thanks for stopping by! This past September, I got to meet up with Lydia & Matt (and their pup Jake) at Watch Hill beach for their engagement photos. This soon-to-be wedded couple will be getting married on April 7, 2018 at Valley of Fire State Park in sunny Nevada!

The two of them met at their favorite bar in Norwich. Lydia was out with some girlfriends when Matt came over and they started talking. They realized they had a lot of the same interests, and ended up getting her phone number! When it came time to propose, they went to Newport for Lydia’s birthday weekend. They went to the Cliff Walk and walked down to the Forty Steps- these are steps that lead down to a small stone landing. Matt was waiting for the other couples to leave so he could pop the question. Finally, only one other couple was left. They asked them to take their picture, then offered to take a picture of them. He proposed while they were taking their picture!
What a sweet story!
When I asked them what they were most excited about for their wedding, they said definitely the location and reception! They love traveling, and neither of them have been to Nevada before. They are also really looking forward to their private reception at Fogo de Chao, a Brazilian Steakhouse. I know it’s going to be a gorgeous wedding!
Future wedding details aside, let’s get to the present: Lydia & Matt’s engagement session! These two are real naturals in front of the camera. Their super cute pup, fabulous outfit choices, a perfect location and their genuine love for each other made this photo shoot one of my favorites yet!
